Operational Network Dashboard

Large distributed service provider networks often require distributed service assurance solutions for security and performance reasons. OpsLogic® MarketView™ allows communications service providers to view data aggregated across their large markets, or their entire network, from a single dashboard. The MarketView dashboard supports:

  • Current and historical production inventory, including identification of service type the device supports (data/voice/power/video).
  • Regional segmentation, providing views of production device counts/type by area
  • Load balancing of devices by region/server

• Trend Analysis
  • Service Penetration
    • Shows ratio of voice customers to high-speed data customers, and how it has changed over time.
  • Alarm trends
    • Shows how individual (single subscriber) and HFC Plant (neighborhood) outages have been trending.
  • Customer growth
    • Shows which servers/CMTSs/regions are experiencing the biggest growth.

• Asset Management
  • Provides number/count of RGUs – by server, CMTS, and region
• Problem Identification & Prioritization
  • Allows the OSS managers to determine where the biggest problems are, allowing them to focus their resources first.
  • Identifies where the largest number of subscribers are impacted. 
  • Employs frequent updates (every few minutes), so current state – and historical view – is visualized in GUI
• Regional Comparison of Network Performance
  • Compare network performance across regions (servers/groups of CMTSs/individual CMTSs) to evaluate the following:
  • Device Inventory (including device type, penetration, and load balance)
  • Individual RGU issues (including alarm counts, what types of alarms are being experienced, and where)
  • Large scale HFC Plant issues (including alarm/outage counts, what types of alarms/outages are being experienced, and where)
