Tollgrade Communications offers a comprehensive solution for cable operators to help them assure broadband and IP services, providing bi-directional, end-to-end testing and monitoring that spans the HFC, Ethernet and IP infrastructure. The Cheetah™ offering includes robust HFC status monitoring via a family of outdoor-hardened, standards-based transponders and an optional embedded VoIP client to allow operators to fully emulate their customer’s VoIP quality from just outside the home and into the HFC network. A full range of VoIP test suites and metrics are supported, including those based on a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) and the Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ). The status monitoring and broadband IP service assurance tools are managed and reported through the CheetahXD OSS.
