SPATIALINFO TEAMS WITH AUSPICE CORPORATION IN STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
Englewood, CO and Framingham, MA - April 24, 2003- SPATIALinfo, a specialist supplier of network information solutions, today announced an agreement with Auspice Corporation, The Enterprise Control™ Company, which will harness the power of each company's market-proven technologies into an integrated next-generation broadband operations automation solution for multisystem service operators (MSOs).
The integrated solution that combines network information and operations automation capabilities aims at providing key business benefits in the following areas:
- Reliable plant visibility for network
operations center (NOC) operators;
- Real-time integrated operations information
to customer service representatives;
- Plant health (node outage, plant outage)
management in real time with unprecedented data accuracy and
integrity;
- Automatically feeding data to a central
NOC to enable real-time decision-making.
The combined capabilities will, for example, enable cable plant managers to detect node or partial node outages and then graphically display the real-time operational status and physical location on the plant of all intelligent devices related to the incident. "This will allow plant managers to quickly and visually identify the probable source of the outage, thereby reducing the mean time to repair," commented Rick Berthold, Executive Vice President and CTO of Auspice.
