AUSPICE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES THE AUSPICE TLX® VISIBILITY INTERFACE ADAPTER (VIA)™ RELEASE 1.0

Bringing Web-Based Visibility and Control To Enterprise Operations Integration and Automation

Framingham, MA - November 1, 2001 - Auspice Corporation

Auspice Corporation, a leading provider of real-time operations integration and automation products and solutions for the global enterprise, announced today its release of the Auspice TLX® Visibility Interface Adapter (VIA)™.

The Auspice TLX Visibility Adapter (VIA) is a powerful TLX infrastructure extension that transforms federated, distributed Auspice TLX Engines into server side automation servers for generating real-time dynamic content to a browser or web-service client. Auspice TLX and VIA through a simple set-up process allows one to use the rich MetaScript™ Language and multi-protocol based Target Interface Server and Libraries to rapidly build business logic as MetaScripts to be executed as the result of an external event or a request from a web-page. This not only enables direct return of dynamic HTML or XML content through the web-server to the requested browser (or XML client), it enables complete web-based command and control to the extended enterprise. Most web-based server automation technologies focus solely on only a few server-oriented standards such as SQL and XML and do little to enable two-way command and control to real-time integrated systems. "Auspice TLX and VIA together provide complete enterprise-wide multi-system, multi-protocol device, data, and process integration, seamlessly, to web-enabled solutions", explains Rick Berthold, "Complete web-based solutions can be rapidly deployed without the need to build costly, cryptic, and difficult to maintain multi-protocol system interface code with embedded business logic in traditional programming and scripting languages".

Today, Auspice TLX with VIA is leading to the development of revolutionary applications for web-based, real-time CRM, customer self-service, and global web-based management services - never before implemented - all in a fraction of the time it would take with other technologies. These solutions are being implemented and deployed by Auspice's customers and partners today.
